Buenos Aires Tetra
Fish code No.0903
The Buenos Aires Tetra is one of the hardiest small aquarium fish and well recommended for beginners. The fish is a peaceful shoaling species with only one drawback; it will eat plants. It may be possible to keep hardy plant varieties such as Java Fern or Anubias sp. but most other plants will be steadily nibbled away. The Buenos Aires Tetra can be kept in most water conditions although good filtration will be appreciated. Can be kept in unheated aquaria down to 18C. May nip at long finned fish such as Guppies and Siamese Fighters.
