Cherry Barb
Fish code No.0100
The Cherry Barb has been a popular aquarium fish for many years and is likely to continue as a regular species in aquarium stores. For small communities these fish are ideal due to their peaceful nature and relative ease of keeping. Cherry barbs make excellent tankmates for other small fish or timid species such as some smaller gouramies or Siamese fighters. These fish are best kept in a minimum of three (two females to a male), or in larger groups (any sex ratio). Keep in an aquarium with well-planted areas, preferably avoiding bright substrate.
Should not be mixed with boisterous or predatory fish.
