The Lake Kutubu Rainbowfish is a beautiful and well-suited aquarium fish being peaceful, hardy, active and shoaling. The fish shows good colour early on, and as with other rainbowfish, intensifies with age. Plenty of swimming room is required as well as hiding spots amongst dense planting. A varied diet, including some vegetable or algae based foods will increase the fishes overall colour and health.
