Ram
Fish code No.1304
Rams are an instantly attractive fish to many fishkeepers although success often depends on the correct environment and good quality stock. Specimens which have been heavily captive bred or inbred are often weaker and may show physical deformities. Provide a soft water environment and plenty of areas to explore around the lower levels, heavily vegetated areas will be appreciated. A number of bred forms are available including a golden colour and a long finned variety. The fish are sensitive to water fluctuations and chemicals. Rams will pair easily and you can often pick a pair from a shop sales tank. Under the right conditions Rams will breed easily. A beautiful aquarium fish if kept with care.
