Three Spot Gourami
Fish code No.1701
There are three colour forms of this fish available, the three-spot (main picture), gold (left), and opaline (right), although apart from the colouration they are all identical. Mixing these fish into a community can be a little tricky. If kept in large groups (6+) there will be occasional chasing but no damage will be done. When kept singly or in small numbers it is quite common for one fish (normally a male) to become a dominant bully, first chasing other gouramies followed by any other fish. Ideally keep in a mixed community or species only tank with other similar sized gouramies. Provided hiding spots are available, these fish make an excellent aquarium fish being hardy, adaptable and visually pleasing.
