Coolie Loach

Pangio kuhlii

The Coolie Loach is often popular due to its unusual body shape and swimming patterns. Although it is peaceful and adaptable, once in the aquarium it is rarely seen, preferring to hide burrowed during the day and only come out at night. Because of this, its usefulness as an aquarium fish is debatable. Provide a fine or sandy bottom and plenty of hiding spots amongst plants, rocks and wood. Prefers soft water.
