If good lighting, a fine substrate and regular fertilisation is provided, this plant is a highly adaptable and hardy variety, ideal for most aquaria. The plant produces small (2.5cm) light green oval shaped leaves which provide a good contrast against other leaf shapes. A terrestrial form with thicker, fleshier leaves is often for sale, these leaves will die back before the aquatic leaves are grown. The plant does better in clean and clear water. Giant Bacopa should be planted in groups, roughly 3-5cm apart
