Despite its common name, this plant is a low-growing foreground plant, the 'giant' refers to the leaf thickness (up to 1.5cm) which is larger than other similar species. This plant is easy to care for but requires bright lighting and a good supply of iron, either in the water or in substrate. With time and space, the plant will produce a dense 'carpet' across the aquarium floor. A relatively easy species to care for once established
