The leaves of this attractive sword-plant are almost circular in shape, making the plant a dominant presence in a well-planted aquarium. Some colour forms are available with attractive red-brown mottled leaves. To keep the plant short and tidy, large and older leaves can be removed and the roots occasionally trimmed. Provide plenty of iron-based fertilisers. An undemanding and relatively easy to keep species.
