This undemanding Ludwigia is a common aquarium plant which will adapt to most conditions if bright lighting is available. The reddish-green leaves are formed close together, particularly near the surface and vary in colour throughout the plant. Regular pruning will cause the plant to produce side-shoots, making the plant appear more bushy. If cared for correctly, this is a good display plant.
