This dominant and long-leaved plant can be found in a wider-leaved form (Crinum natans). The wider-leaved form should be kept with bright lighting and given adequate nutrients, the narrow-leaved form is less demanding. Both forms can reach up to 1m in length and will trail along the waters surface. Some herbivorous fish will not eat this plant. Medium-soft water and a good substrate is recommended.
