What causes diseases?
Diseases are a natural part of any animals life and are a result of either disease causing agents (pathogens) or an incorrect environment. Disease pathogens are always present at low levels in the aquarium, but under correct conditions a fish will normally be able to prevent serious infection through the use of its natural immune system.
